WELCOME
My life's dream of having a field full of horses is now a reality. We started
with five mares from a PMU barn that was dispersing, and one of those mares happened to be a registered quarter horse. She
is Elsa Bar Seaba (Frosty), and from there we added three more registered quarter horse mares, and
an AQHA stallion,
HG Tardy Be True (Turk).

With all these horses we needed more room to "house" them, so we relocated from Fort MacMurray to Edson, Alberta. We found the perfect acreage....80 acres of grass, trees, wildlife and wonderful neighbors.
This set off the building mania of the past 2 years: from getting the well drilled to erecting a barn, pens, and crossfences. It doesn't sound like a lot, but for any of you that have started from scratch, while both working full time jobs, know that we have no "spare time". However, our "homestead" has evolved from trees to cropland on 60 acres, barn and paddocks, and fenced pasture for the rest. Such changes in two years ... we have tried to keep up to the progress with photos of then and now.
We are totally self sufficient with solar and wind power, with a generator for backup if necessary. It is proving to be a very interesting venture.
We've recently become the owners of a rototiller, so if you or anyone you know needs rototilling done, please inquire for details.
